"Not the most expensive but beware!"

We got quotes from several companies to build our porch and Taverham Conservatories certainly came in with a very competitive price compared to national companies.

However, they did come up short in many areas. The salesman told us he had never had planning permission turned down as he showed us what we could have with his computer aided design. Permission was rejected and we had to make a really quick decision on the new design to avoid another £400 for a resubmitted planning application. We were told it would be built in 2-3 weeks - it was nearer 9 in the end. They were very slow to do the 'finishing off' jobs- fortunately we did not pay 90% half way through as they requested and this seemed to hurry them. Despite having a tiled roof we have had to call them back twice to sort out leaks. They promised tiles to match our existing roof but they are a completely different colour. They fitted the wrong front door panels and the wrong sort of handles on another door.

The porch itself is OK, the staff well meaning and friendly and if you want a good value for money porch or conservatory then do consider this company, but be warned. Be prepared to effectively project manage it yourself, keep a really close eye on what they are doing to make sure it is as agreed and keep hold of your money until you are happy it is finished - even though they will call and nag you to pay all but 5% for a half finished project..
