"Wroxham Steiner School closed in 2007"

A review of Rudolf Steiner School by Peter H Reeve written on Sunday 21st of August 2011

Rudolf Steiner School, Wroxham, moved in

September 1985 from Old Buckenham where it

had originally been founded by Peter and

Roswitha in April 1980 (initially in a

farmhouse at Tibenham). For two years, and until

a registered company, the New School

Wroxham Association and registered charity

was set up, the Rudolf Steiner School was

private. In 1991, with the aim of moving

the school closer to Norwich, the names of

the company was changed to Norwich Steiner

School Association Limited. There was the

thought that a new Steiner education

initiative in Norwich would join up but

this did not develop. The Wroxham Steiner

School closed in July 2007. The building

was sold in June 2008, at which point I

retired, aged 77 to Sheringham.

The charity itself continues in case a

North Norfolk Steiner parent and child

group can be founded. (see Mighty Oaks)

By Peter H Reeve. Company Secretary..
