"Just don't bother...."A review of The Rushcutters by Ziggy - Sunday 17th of August 2008Advertisements
Just returned from a truly awful meal at the Rushcutters. I remember when the food here used to be really good, where it left you impatient for your return visit. I chose a veggie dish "mozarella potato cakes" + tagliatelle (excuse my spelling!)...pasta was cold, overcooked. The potato cake was insipid, cold & tasteless. My boyfriend went for the "safer" option of ham, eggs & chips....2 slices of plastic ham and around 10 chips....total meal including 2 cokes came to more than £20, which didn't seem like great value. [The only thing favourable I can say, is its the perfect place if you're on a diet...because one look at my plate...and my appetite was wiped out totally]. We keep giving the Rushcutters the benefit of the doubt (this is the 3rd or 4th poor meal we have had there...we kept thinking that perhaps those incidents were one-offs...clearly not), but now, this truly IS the last time. |
