"Shame you forgot the main courses!"
A review of Old Orleans by Ed chambers - Saturday 22nd of March 2008
We visited today, Saturday lunch-time, with our two children. We ordered from the lunch menu- a starter and a main course for 6.25- and ordered just a main course for our two children, to be delivered with our starters. So, our starters came along...then the kids' food... then we waited and waited, but our main courses didn't appear. There were far too few staff for the number of customers in the place; other people were sending their food back because it was coming out cold, and it was almost painfully obvious that everything was coming from a single industrial-size microwave oven. Anyway, having arrived at 1.10, and been served nothing but a plate of potato wedges by 2.10, whilst our children had eaten up and were getting restless, we gave up, paid up and left. The 16 year old waitress was apologetic, she too was a victim of a restaurant chain which clearly makes big promises on its menu then simply doesn't employ the staff to deliver.
